Just found out about this new strategy tool from Matt Feinstein in Worcester. Work, Dignity, and Social Change is a video that compiles “interviews and visits with four Unemployed Workers’ Movements of Argentina” and shares their experiences, “from bakeries and soup kitchens to organic farms and gardens, even their own schools and neighborhood health centers.” The video also interviews organizers about “their operating principles — autonomy, horizontal decision-making and direct democracy — and the day-to-day challenges they face.”

Work, Dignity, and Social Change “is designed to be used as a tool for workshops with your organization and friends. Let these amazing social movements inspire you and help spark discussion about the work that’s being done, or needs to be done, in your neighborhood.”

The folks behind this project have also made a facilitator’s guide to using the video workshop. It includes “historical information, resources for further study, and sample discussion questions.”

You can watch a trailer of the video here and get a copy of the video by writing getthevideo@argentinavideo.org. Donations will support the video’s distribution in Latin America, and are accepted online or at:
